Henry Mancini (16 April 1924 – 14 June 1994) was a prolific American composer and pianist, creating scores for such films as Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961), Charade (1963) and Touch of Evil (1958), and writing such well-known songs as “Moon River” and “Days of Wine & Roses”. Below is his “The Pink Panther Theme” from film The Pink Panther (1963), a score which was nominated for an Academy Award, but lost to Mary Poppins.
I’ll be humming this theme all evening, which is not at all a bad thing. 🙂

Great post 🙂 Henry Mancini also composed the music for Howard Hawks Hatari! Remember that one? 🙂
